Description

The Janitor maintains a clean and orderly terminal / warehouse building to meet Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) standards.

 

Job Details:

Location: Winnipeg Depot, 1935 Sargent Ave

Working Hours: 30 hours per week

Monday to Friday 23:00-05:00 (OVERNIGHT)

Wage: $20.11 per hour

Responsibilities

Maintain clean and orderly terminal / warehouse buildings and facilities (e.g., washrooms, cafeteria, Courier stock supply rooms, etc.) 
Meets Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) standards
Complete minor repairs (e.g., switching lightbulbs, unclogging toilets, etc.)
Maintain outside of building  – shoveling (snowblower), litter removal, emptying garbage, salting
Tidy up after AM dock – removing bad pallets, moving Canada Post (CP) cages, light sweeping, re-stocking AM supplies (plastic bags)
Collect, stack, and remove pallets requiring storage or repair
Use a Zamboni floor cleaner to clean portions of the warehouse floor and maintains the equipment in a good state of repair
Maintain an inventory of cleaning solutions, cleaning supplies, and supplies required to maintain facilities (bathroom tissue, paper towels, garbage bags, etc.). Notify the Unit Manager when supplies are running low or major repairs are required
