Shift: Full Time, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

 

Job Overview:

The Corporate Sales Manager is responsible for developing overall sales efforts for Purolator International.  Develops, plans, and coordinates sales strategies to meet business objectives and achieve maximum results.

 

Requirements to be considered:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, majoring in Sales, Marketing or business related field or equivalent
  • Minimum 7-10 years of sales experience with at least 3 years in a management position with a proven track record
  • Extensive sales management experience-ability to manage multiple selling units
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain a trusting customer relationship
  • Ability to travel including driving to various work and/or customer locations within the local markets, Corporate HQ in New York and Canada

 

Daily Functions:

  • Continually evaluate the timely adjustment of sales plans to meet changing competitive conditions
  • Direct and coordinate the efforts of sales personnel toward the accomplishment of corporate objectives
  • Develop, recommend and implement annual and long-range strategic plans for sales including sales forecasting and budgeting activities
  • Formulate and execute detailed plans for the retention, growth and acquisition of strategic sales in line with the company’s sales goal
  • Lead the negotiations with existing and potential corporate and strategic customer
  • Ensure maximum sales volume and profits, at minimum cost
  • Provide corporate sales direction for District Sales Managers
  • Directly manage Strategic Sales Executives/Managers and Business Development Executives
  • Ensure the proper training and development of all sales personnel
  • Develop sales incentive programs to achieve or exceed divisional goals to better motivate and reward sales personnel for the desired performance
  • Liaison with marketing to develop pricing programs and terms to enhance competitive positioning and profitability
  • Develop tactical plans, activity and initiatives aligned to strategy
  • Be a key player on the corporate sales management team
  • Work closely with and maintain open communication with Director and all top managers of operations, administration, finance, and human resources in order to smoothly coordinate and interface the sales activities with the other functional areas of the company
  • Other project management, analysis and ad hoc duties as required
  • Create and implement market analysis to identify new business opportunities and increase market share through lead referrals
  • Observe day to day performance of local team members and report feedback to management on a periodic basis or as needed
  • Increase Purolator’s presence within the local market through industry organization participation and special event venues
  • Carry out other duties as appropriate and as assigned by his/her Manager

 

Education and/ or Work Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, majoring in Sales, Marketing or business related field or equivalent
  • Minimum 7-10 years of sales experience with at least 3 years in a management position with a proven track record
  • Extensive sales management experience-ability to manage multiple selling units
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain a trusting customer relationship
  • Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, and oral and written communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, and have a high-energetic approach to problem solving
