Shift: Full Time, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm


Location: Ideally we are looking for candidates that can work out of our district offices in either Raleigh NC, Memphis TN, or Dallas TX.  


Job Overview:

The District Quality Service Supervisor (DSQS) is a critical member of the Operations team. This position will report into the District Service Quality Manager and will have direct oversight of the District operations across all branches within the district.

This specific DSQS position will support all operational matters in relation to the South District including line haul, pickup, and delivery operations in collaboration with transportation and customer service departments.  

The DSQS will be required to report branch-level operational information: on time performance, production cost per pound, utilization of linehauls, material handling costs into the District Service Quality Manager for consolidated reporting, analysis, root cause and continuous improvement.

The DSQS will be analyzing branch-level operational information reports to look at root cause analysis and corrective action for continuous improvement. This position will also manage district Warehouse Supervisors and Operations Support Specialists.


Requirements to be considered:

  • High School Diploma plus work experience required
  • 2+ years of Management or Supervisory experience, which includes skills around: performance management, time management, employee engagement, customer retention, issue resolution, etc.
  • 4+ years relevant Operations and Service experience, which includes skills around:  
    • Receiving, weighing, measuring, scanning, labeling, and shipping while adhering to all Safety and Security regulations
    • Load and unload packages from processing stations / trailers
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams), Beacon (TMS or ERP tracking system), Salesforce


Preferred Skill Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred


Day to Day Operations, Resolutions and Escalations

  • Customs clearance issues
  • Create an environment of respect and trust for resolving issues as pertains to operational and customer support
  • Facilitation and escalation After hour line haul issues
  • Facilitation and escalation for customer and broker clear bonded shipments issues
  • Support customer on-boarding process by participating on project team to ensure successful launch of customers
  • Maintain district on-time and failures reporting this daily to the DSQM.
  • Manage dock operations and personnel where a Warehouse Supervisor is not present in regards to the processing of all shipments
  • Manage Health & Safety program per district
  • Manage all facets of performance of multiple branch OSS/Warehouse Supervisor throughout the Districts
  • Monitor overtime and recommend staffing needs.
  • Onsite operational and documentation support at local customer facilities for 1st day shipping for new customers
  • Root cause analysis on common service issues
  • Support role for district warehouse operations helping in covering vacations or training as assigned by the DSQM.
  • Collaboration with CRR Supervisor on customer operational issues and resolution
  • Collaborate, guide and counsel OSS  with problem resolution in facilities
  • Working with TSD and the DSQM to coordinate day to day activities with our agent partners from the pick up to the end delivery of our line hauls to destination.


Continuous Improvement/Process and Operational Excellence

  • Analyze dock operations and processes and recommend appropriate enhancements to improve production Drive load performance of LHs
  • Manage Beacon data entry compliance/auditing in district operational facilities.
  • Improve warehouse production at district branches and ensure it meets and exceeds corporate expectations. Work with Warehouse Supervisor to ensure production metrics are met.
  • Recognition, planning and implementation of Continuous Improvement opportunities
  • Support implementation of district lean initiatives


Performance Management and Development

  • Implement and monitor work goals, objectives and standards to be achieved by team
  • Drive service quality initiatives for District Branch facilities and ensure compliance in all areas including but not limited to service quality, warehouse production, hazmat, dangerous goods, environmental health and safety
  • Communicate and manage operational programs and policies to warehouse employees
  • Orient new warehouse staff members to the organization and department policies and procedures; review his/her position responsibilities and expectations of performance


Non-Essential Functions

  • Manage projects as assigned by the District Service Quality Manager
  • Carry out other duties as appropriate and as assigned by his/her Manager


Education and/ or Work Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma plus work experience required
  • 2+ years of Management or Supervisory experience
  • 4+ years relevant Operations and Service experience
  • Superior mentoring and coaching skills are a must for this leadership role
  • Strong team orientation, with a proven record of building team relationships with staff, clients and other stakeholders
  • Customs compliance experience
  • Certified forklift trainer/operator

  • Ability to travel including driving to various work and/or customer locations within the local markets, Corporate HQ in New York and Canada
