The Business Intelligence Systems Analyst falls under our IT Division and reports into the IT Business Systems Supervisor.  This primary function for this role is to help build a data warehouse to automate processes:  building reporting infrastructure and working with department stakeholders to understand their needs and gaps in data support.  


Required To Be Considered
•    Demonstrated proficiency for project management 
•    Performing complex queries to generate reports
•    Strong reporting experience; using systems
•    Strong SQL skills; SQL Server Reporting Services reporting software
•    Experience with Power BI
•    Excellent knowledge of IT/data best practices and database concepts


Job Function
•    Develop and manage Purolator International’s organizational data repository content, defines common definitions, ensures data quality and manages appropriate access
•    Communicate with a variety of stakeholders through meetings, calls, educational sessions etc. to ensure stakeholders understand how to leverage data
•    Build customer facing reports for our internal teams (QBR’s, scheduled customer reports, etc.)  
•    Check reports for accuracy; ensure timely delivery of reports
•    Support Legacy system Access/VBA system while working on building new system
•    Perform complex queries to generate reports
•    Optimize queries and code
•    Create a variety of data models, both physical and virtual, that define the layout of all data elements, data definitions etc
•    Resolve ambiguities or conflicts that may arise in the corporate vocabulary or interpretation of data sets/elements; particularly to the extent that ambiguous terms may find their way into the company's data content
•    Learn and master new technologies as they arise
•    Carry out other duties as appropriate and as assigned by his/her Manager


Skills and Abilities Requirements
•    Highly organized and detail oriented
•    Self-motivated, tolerant of stress, dependable and analytical. The ability to think critically and solve multifaceted problems. 
•    Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the US


Education and/ or Work Experience Requirements
•    5-8 years’ experience working with database development
•    PMP certified preferred, not required
•    Demonstrated proficiency for project management 
•    Performing complex queries to generate reports
•    Strong reporting experience; using systems
•    Strong SQL skills; SQL Server Reporting Services reporting software
•    Experience with Power BI
•    Excellent knowledge of IT/data best practices and database concepts


Working conditions under which the job is performed include, but are not limited to concentrated visual or auditory attention, repetitive movements (i.e. typing, data entry, answering phone), extensive sitting or standing during work hours
