Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst, FP & A, will be supporting functional budgeting and forecasting activities along with the month end reporting and analyst, and other ad-hoc reporting. This role will partner with assigned Sales and Operations business functions to provide financial support and insists and assist with the execution of operation and financial plans.

Schedule: Hybrid schedule working 2 days in the office

Monday – Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm EST.

 

Working Conditions

Working conditions under which the job is performed include but are not limited to concentrated visual or auditory attention, repetitive movements (i.e., typing, data entry, data analysis), heavy computer work, constant sitting at workstation

 

Responsibilities

  • Performs and delivers monthly and YTD analysis on forecast/plan variances
  • Provides financial expertise and analysis to support monthly results
  • Tracks performance against budget, prior year and forecast
  • Identifies variances to actual results
  • Understands revenue & expense drivers, supports problem solving and develops recommendations
  • Prepares weekly/monthly financial metrics, KPIs, scorecards (revenue, expense, volume, productivity)
  • Compiles month-end financial results and materials for functional MBRs
  • Other ad-hoc management reporting as required
  • Provides dedicated decision support to assigned Sales & Operations business functions

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal & written with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial audiences
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced/demanding environment
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and investigative abilities to ensure financial information is recorded and presented accurately
  • Ability to operate in a deadline driven environment that requires information from a variety of stakeholders

 

Education and/ or Work Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance
  • 3+ years’ experience as Finance Analyst
  • 3+ years month-end and quarter-end close processes
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills a must
  • Power Point presentations and waterfall charts/graphs experience
  • Working knowledge of SAP Financial is preferred, not required
  • Freight forwarding & Logistics industry experience a plus, not required
