Job Description

Location: This opportunity is remote **Ideally we are looking for candidates that can work out of our headqaurters office in Jericho NY. Using our headquarters offices as a home market would be ideal. Depending on the location of the candidate, this position may be remote, or may be domiciled within one of our offices within the United States.


We are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Analyst to join our Operations Analytics team.  The Supply Chain Analyst provides visibility into KPI’s and determines the best methods by which to optimize overall costs within Purolator International’s Transportation Network. 


This role is responsible for customer service analysis, new carrier assessments, new products/solutions for customers, and business process development.  This will involve performing analysis to assist in designing multi-faceted logistics and supply chain solutions based on an understanding of business needs. Additionally, the position will be responsible for analyzing and improving operational processes for the Transportation Network using a variety of analytical methods, systems and tools.


In order to be considered for the opportunity, we are looking for the following qualifications:

  • Superior analytical skills with the ability to gather and analyze/synthesize data
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in data analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of  Excel, VBA, Access, SQL
  • Experience working with visualization tools and mapping software. Tableau or Maptitude experience is a plus



  • Develops and analyses key performance metrics for Purolator International’s Transportation Network Operations; data analysis activities include, but are not limited to, forecasting and planning, shipment data analysis, network optimization, transportation planning etc.
  • Develops and prepares a dashboard of critical information for the Customers i.e. weekly reports for volume and production times, late shipments and late shipment reasons etc
  • Conducts ad hoc analysis for new business; analyses the necessary information to support the RFP process, assess on- time shipments and associated costs for customers, assess new solutions for customers etc.
  • Develops and generates weekly reports for a variety of stakeholders that analyze on-time performance of shipments, line haul networks etc.; provides recommendations to decrease costs and improve services.
  • Collaborates with counterparts in Canada on special projects related to process improvement, network optimization etc.
  • Generates all necessary reports for districts; supports other Data Analysts with new customer requests when required.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience in data analysis
  • Experience working with SQL and any mapping software
  • Logistics industry experience, preferred

  • Proven ability to work independently to analyze complex issues and develop solutions; exercise sound judgments and make decisions guided by broad policies and general objectives
  • Superior analytical skills with the ability to gather and analyze/synthesize data; confirming its accuracy and adequacy as an integral part of the collective analysis/synthesis process.
  • Ability to communicate to senior management and large groups of employees; strong collaboration through working on department and cross functional teams.
  • Driven to provide exceptional customer service to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the US
  • Ability to travel as needed including driving to various work and/or customer locations, domestic travel, and possible international travel to Canada
