Shift: Monday to Friday: 10:00am to 6:30pm (40 hours/week)

Pay Rate: $47.58/hour

Location: Edmonton North Depot: 17718 114 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB, T5S 2N4

 

Description

The Diesel Mechanic inspects, maintains, diagnoses, and repairs assigned on-/off-road and heavy duty equipment to ensure proper function and vehicle safety and meet quality and performance goals. 

Responsibilities

-Diagnose and repair on- / off-road and heavy duty vehicles and equipment to meet preventative maintenance schedules, ensure proper function, and meet vehicle safety and quality goals
-Assist with entering data in the mechanic’s maintenance and repair database (e.g., Web Fleet Assistant (WFA))
-Communicates concerns or escalates unusually complex or persistent problems to the Foreman or other manager
-Responds to service calls for equipment breakdowns when no supervisor is available to assist in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues arising from the Control Room, Dispatch, or Drivers

Education

-Red Seal Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics license
-Valid Class 5 driver's license required. Class 1 preferred.

-Clear driver’s abstract that meets Purolator’s insurance requirements.
-Must be able to perform annual safeties (CVIP)

Experience

- 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic is required.
