Job Description

 

This position is responsible for implementation and support of the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for Purolator Inc.  The CMMS Coordinator will also be responsible for equipment data collection, equipment verification,  job plan documentation, job plan tasking, preventative maintenance scheduling, and data entry and data integrity.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Maintains and updates equipment data base and preventative maintenance program
  • Provides data collection procedures, forms and checklists to support data inputs into service maintenance management database.
  • Provides suggestions and assists with improvement of relevant procedures and resources
  • Prepare inspection reports and inspection certificates to send to clients
  • Generate data and prepare various reports to managers and team.
  • Reviews technician's reports and recommendations with technicians and team to assist with planning.
  • Creates preventative maintenance schedules based on assets and client requirements
  • Creates schedule for project fabrication and installation
  • Manage Technician’s Calendar- review and assist with coordinating work schedules
  • Create and send work ticket and job information to technicians
  • Review spare parts list, purchase price, vendor, alternate supplier and equivalency
  • Define minimum order quantity, reorder point, harmonized spares and commonality
  • Review new assets and input into CMMS with proper asset information, like date in service, purchase price, warranty information, proper location asset structure, make model serial number etc. to align with financial asset ledger and asset number.
  • Receive and review job plans, work instructions, safe work procedures, requires tools and materials, work order assignments etc.
  • Ensure all issues are properly logged and escalated accordingly
  • Perform general scanning, filing, and accounting assistance and other office administrative duties, as required.
  • Maintain relevant training records of technicians and source training opportunities

 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

 

  • Community college diploma or equivalent training in mechanical field
  • Knowledge/understanding of Conveyors systems
  • Knowledge/understanding of CMMS systems
  • Self-motivated and customer-focused
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and collaborate on projects
  • Ability to think strategically, problem solve, and make quick decisions
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to capture work procedures provided by others accurately and prepare accurate job plans
  • Ability to create accurate maintenance schedules based on contract requirements
  • Ability to self-start and to work well within a team
  • Strong computer skills – must be Proficient with MS Office suite and Google Suite of applications along with ability to quickly learn new software applications, information systems and CMMS software.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) would be an asset
