Job Description

Reporting to the GAINS Project Human Resource and Change Management Lead along with a dotted line to the Manager, Organizational Change Management, the Change Management Specialist plays a key role in supporting the New Ontario Hub Project to implement change initiatives.   This position focuses on the people side of change and the Change Management Specialist must be aware of and understand the current and upcoming changes to business processes, system and technology changes, changing job roles and organizational structures. The primary focus of this role is to implement change management plans that maximize engagement. This position is key to driving change and ensuring faster adoption of change initiatives resulting ultimately in greater utilization of impacted employees in order to achieve favourable business results.

  • Apply a structured change management approach and methodology for the people side of change caused by projects and change efforts, specifically the New Ontario Hub Project
  • Conduct regular site visits to help client group prepare for change
  • Build awareness of change through communication deployment, working directly with the internal client group
  • Complete change readiness assessments and evaluate results to create the appropriate change management strategies and tactics
  • Identify potential risks and anticipated points of concern, work with the change team to develop specific plans to mitigate or resolve the issues
  • Coach and reinforce change with client group and support the execution of plans by employee-facing managers and business leaders
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement by contributing recommended ideas, best practices, lessons learned, etc.
  • Be an active and visible coach to change agents across the company.

Qualifications

  • Exemplifies and consistently demonstrates our core competencies of Customer Focus, Communicates Effectively, Collaborates, Instills Trust and Self-development.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of operations experience supporting different functions
  • Demonstrated organizational Change Management experience required.  Experience with Prosci ADKAR Model is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Ability to learn new concepts and applications quickly
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal); Strong active listening skills; Strong questioning skills while leading discussions with managers and front-line employees
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others
  • Able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-starter and able to work independently
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated experience in all facets of project management
  • Ability to travel locally to various sites with GTA area
  • Ability to work occasional non-routine hours
  • The ability to work within all areas of the business operations
