Description
The Operations Trainer provides onboarding training for employees in the Centre’s of Excellence and/or regional Purolator locations, partnering closely with key stakeholders including Learning & Development (L&D), Operations, Human Resources and Health and Safety to identify and deliver refresher training opportunities for new and existing employees. This role provides coaching, mentoring and evaluation and is influential in building and developing our team.
Responsibilities
- Coach, mentor, and evaluate employees on proper job performance procedures and standards, such as practical demonstrations, ride a longs (route rides), competency based evaluations (All operations groups)
- Deliver in-class/virtual training for front line operations employees and provide specialized training in transportation and logistics
- Onboard new employees, scheduling and facilitating
- Administrate daily record input into Learning Management System (LMS) and paper documents, ensuring employees have materials they need
- Develop & up skilling of new training required as it evolves over time i.e. ongoing personal development to continue learning as the business changes, continuous improvement
Education
- Adult Education Certification or equivalent experience
Experience
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in a trainer role to front line managers and employees, experience teaching adults.
- A valid non-probationary Driver's License.
- Clean Driving Abstract.
- Experience with digital platforms such as Microsoft Teams and WebEx.
