Job Description
- Manage Maintenance planning and scheduling activities within GTA region
- Working closely with millwrights and electrician
- Planning, scheduling and creating work orders and stage parts for kitting
- Prepare and distribute work orders schedules, monitor schedule attainment and follow-up significant concerns with management on daily basis
- Review maintenance requirements far enough in advance to detect potential problems in meeting those requirements. This process must occur in a timeframe that allows for corrective actions to be taken in order to minimize the impact to Operation
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure targets are met for maintenance activities
- Liaise with Maintenance Planner and Supervisor to maintain up to date system files regarding new or changing data
- Assist the inventory team and optimization of inventory. Perform inventory audits and count on regular basis
- Continuously evaluate and adjust inventory buffers based on demand variability, desired customer service levels and process capabilities
- Take initiative to minimize overall system obsolescence exposure. Use problem solving methodology to determine root cause(s) and prevent recurrence of materials related issues
- Provide daily/weekly/monthly inventory reports to ensure resources/inventory are available to meet target KPI
- Ensures safety rules are being followed by maintenance staff members and contractors. Audit contractor’s safety protocols, credentials, and site before and after the work is completed
- Manage capacity planning and preventative maintenance scheduling
- Identify, report and recommend solutions on capacity restrictions for the purpose of proactive planning and elimination of bottlenecks that affect capacity planning
- Schedule and coordinate with vendors, fabricators and in-house maintenance team to ensure availability of required parts for the job
- Perform any other duties assigned by Maintenance Manager
Education
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in maintenance planning and scheduling
- MMP (Maintenance Management Professional) certification would be an asset
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Technical / Trade licence as technologist in mechanical or electrical field
Experience
- Knowledge of CMMS software (Maximo or similar) an asset
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in maintenance planning and scheduling in manufacutring, processing or logistics
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast paced, growth environment with many competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Flexibility of work hours required to deal with problems after-hours or during weekend
- Strong skills with Microsoft word and excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Some hands on work would be required to move, organise parts. Forklift licence would be an asset
