Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coach on-site Loss Prevention Professionals.
  • Ensure all LPP equipment & tools are operational and in good repair.
  • Ensure all work areas are clean and all safety issues/concerns are addressed in a timely fashion.
  • Assist with maintaining Site Specific Standing Orders.
  • Provide training and support for on-site LPP staff.
  • Communicate policy and procedure changes with staff.
  • Identify, resolve, and or escalate security and personnel risks.
  • Respond to and follow up on related Loss Prevention Incident Reports (LPIR).
  • Work collaboratively with Operations to access customer needs.
  • Complete Key Performance Indicator reports to ensure process compliance and quality.
  • Supervise employee screening and vehicle checkpoint for compliance and quality. Perform site security duties.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of security-related experience
  • Supervisory/leadership experience is an asset.
  • Recognized security accreditation (CPO, CSS) is an asset.
  • Ability to deescalate potential violence in the workplace incidents.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to work with a high degree of honesty and integrity.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act and Powers of Arrest.
  • Must possess a valid Security Guard License and Ontario Driver’s G Class License.
  • Must be available to work on a rotational shift basis, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • This position is mobile and requires the candidate to work at multiple locations during the day.
