Job Description

  • Responsible for Toronto Freight operations working out of the Martin Grove facility
  • Manage and supervise dispatch, yard and linehaul operations
  • Manage a group of unionized & clerical employees
  • Responsible for Staffing, Recruiting and Performance Management
  • Responsible for maintaining staffing and schedules
  • Oversee Routing functions
  • Work with Operations Manager and Unit Managers to address any Dispatch issues
  • Handle Customer complaints and inquiries
  • Management of MyCareer process for all employees
  • Change Management
  • Report preparation and analysis as required by Operations Manager
  • Scanner Maintenance & Compliance
  • Create a positive work environment, building employee loyalty and a team atmosphere
  • Responsible for achieving objectives as outlined in the operational scorecard
  • Responsible for managing performance of employees as per operational standards and indices
  • Improve operational standards through reviews of employee performance, coaching, counseling and recognition
  • Responsible for communicating and implementing policy, procedure or programs
  • Responsible for completing a variety of reports and documents
  • All other related and assigned duties


  • Strong computer proficiency in microsoft office and knowledge CLI an asset
