Description
The Specialist II, Regional Field Engineering, initiates and drives the development of process optimization & mapping, workflow design, Standards development & auditing, statistical analysis used for trending and forecast information.
Responsibilities
Drive process mapping development across functional business areas
Drive the development of dock operational plans
Coordinate and plan the courier route structure and load balancing procedure
Initiate and drive the development of process optimization & mapping, workflow design, standards development & auditing, and statistical analysis used for trending and forecast information
Develop detailed job methods for all key business processes across all functional business areas
Employ standard engineering practices to develop optimum operating profiles for terminal operations
Identify and drive implementation of short-term to medium-term initiatives to improve quality of service, productivity, cost, and work environment safety
Facilitate cross-functional activities with multi-level team members
Update and review dock operating plans with Operations team members
Create business cases and project plans to lead improvement efforts
Gather and analyze data to support Operations team members
Translate data findings into problem statements and drives decision making process of appropriate solutions
Education
BS degree in Industrial Engineering or another related engineering discipline
Experience
5 years’ experience in an engineering, or project management role
Skills
Language Requirement: Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders. This requirement is justified by the nature of the responsibilities and operational needs.
