Hours of Work: Monday 12:30am-9:00am, Tuesday to Friday 1:30am-9:30am (37.5 hours/week)

 

Description

  • Manage and supervise daily sort operations
  • Lead and support a team of unionized employees
  • Foster a positive work environment that builds loyalty and teamwork
  • Achieve operational objectives as outlined in the scorecard
  • Monitor and manage employee performance against established standards
  • Enhance operations through performance reviews, coaching, counseling, and recognition
  • Communicate and implement company policies, procedures, and programs
  • Prepare and maintain reports, documentation, and related records
  • Perform additional duties as required

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience managing or supervising employees

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate knowledge of Excel

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Experience supervising union employees (asset)

  • Logistics experience (asset)

  • Strong leadership and motivational skills; energetic leader

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Skilled at coordinating diverse duties and meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments

  • Consistently presents a professional and positive image

  • Demonstrates core competencies in:

    • Communication

    • Innovation

    • Change management

    • Relationship building

    • Leadership

Language Requirement: Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders. This requirement is justified by the nature of the responsibilities and operational needs.
