Description
Reporting to the District Manager, you will work closely with the operations team to support their day-to-day needs and execution of administrative tasks within the department. The Operations Administrative Assistant will ensure quality and accurate data reporting related to the legislative and compliance needs of the operations team. You are a highly organized individual and are able to build effective relationships with different departments and levels both within the organization and with external vendors.
The Operations Administrative Assistant will have the following day-to-day responsibilities:
- Prepare, maintain and analyze operational documents and reports and submit to appropriate parties;
- Department event coordination and support (Employee recognition, Diversity & Inclusion, Purolator Tackle Hunger, Employee engagement activities);
- Order placement and follow up of IT assets and requirements for the team;
- Tracking and follow-up to internal communications related to maintenance department;
- Tracking and follow-up to ensure timely completion of all training requirements and annual training certifications;
- All other related and assigned duties.
Responsibilities
To be successful, you should have:
- Preferred 2 years of reporting, facilities/or administrative experience in a customer-service driven and fast-paced environment;
- Demonstrated aptitude to prioritize tasks based on comparative importance and urgency;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and direction;
- Advanced-level knowledge of common industry software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat;
- Flexibility to work irregular hours from time to time, if required;
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
