Description
Reporting to the Director, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Consultant will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of company-wide programs and initiatives that foster a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace at Purolator. As a key member of the DEIB team, the DEIB Consultant supports strategic initiatives including enterprise-wide tools, resources, trainings, compliance reports and corporate partnerships, and oversees and supports leader and employee champions involved in the DEIB Advisory Board, DEIB Regional Councils and Purolator’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of enterprise-wide DEIB programs and initiatives across the organization
- Translate DEIB strategy into practical tools, resources, and programs for leaders and employees
- Partner with Corporate Communications, Human Resources, Marketing, Legal, Sustainability and Operations to integrate DEIB into business processes and communications
- Support governance structures and champion groups including the DEIB Advisory Board, Regional Councils, and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
- Develop and maintain DEIB resources and toolkits to support inclusive practices and cultural awareness
- Support the design and delivery of DEIB training and workshops
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and employees on inclusive practices
- Coordinate and initiate updates and communications to stakeholders for the annual accessibility and employment equity plans
- Coordinate and initiate terminal visits, based on operational needs
- Key stakeholder supporting updated content and review of accuracy for the Annual Sustainability Report
- Build and maintain relationships with external community organizations
Language Requirement: Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders. This requirement is justified by the nature of the responsibilities and operational needs.
