Job Description

Manager, Operations Returns

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Partner Services, this role will be responsible for the following:

  • Facilitation of cross-functional activities with multi-level team members
  • Project leadership to optimize the flow of returns shipments through the network
  • Ensure process standards are in place and in compliance
  • Account Management as a liaison to field operations – actively support the operational planning for the top 5 returns customers
  • Support the onboarding of any new Returns customers and/or services
  • Design and issuance of monthly KPI dashboard
  • Identifying and driving the implementation of short-term to medium-term initiatives to improve quality of service, productivity, cost, and work environment (safety)
  • Evaluating and presenting recommendations for medium-term to long-term capital-intensive projects
  • Assisting with Peak Capacity planning
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • As a Life Long Learner 2 years’ experience in an engineering, project management and/or logistics position in a continuous improvement capacity
  • University Engineering Degree (industrial or manufacturing preferred)
  • Lean or Lean Six Sigma certification desired
  • Proven track record of a life long learner
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Prior Courier / Logistics industry experience would be an asset
  • Strong competency with Microsoft Office tool suite, above average skillset in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work with autonomy
  • Successfully able to implement change and enhance a team-based culture within a unionized environment
  • Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with an ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated strong project and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing projects
