Description

THIS IS A CONTRACT ROLE WITH A DURATION OF 12 MONTHS.

This schedule for this role is Monday - Friday (total of 37.5 weekly hours) and being hybrid requires working in the office 3 days a week.

This role also requires flexibility with the below:

- Availability on CAD/US holidays,
- Evening, Night and Weekend shifts,
- Rotating work schedules and shifts

Responsibilities

Receive pre-alerts for incoming shipments

Create recovery scheduled based on all pre- alerts received

Dispatch runners and line-haul drivers according to schedule

Resolve any issue arising from recovery attempt

Runners

Ground handlers
Customs
Warehouse

Coordinate with stakeholders to facilitate customs clearance

Coordinate pick-up and delivery

Work with Canada Customs, broker/s and other stakeholders to ensure compliance

Receive and prepare supplier invoices

Follow up on supplier invoice payments with AP

Apply customer contract according to activities performed

Prepare supplier invoices for payment

Work with the billing team to ensure clients are invoiced on time

Enter all billable activities into designated computer system

Respond to overseas customer queries related to inbound loads

Coordinate with warehouse to manage return shipments

Prepare monthly reports

Attend to destruction of shipments with CBSA supervision

Ensure signed E15 forms are sent to broker for CREDITS program

Arrange return shipments with export shipping agents

Complete Export declaration in CERS for return shipments

Routing of shipments and preparation of pre-alert documents

Booking of all shipments with airlines, steam ship companies and trucking firms

Oversee consolidation and assembly of shipments at gateway

Document preparation for international Global Expedited shipments, including but not limited to MAWB, HAWB, commercial invoice and certificates of origin

Work with Bonded warehouses to ensure regulatory compliance

Working closely with the Operations team to ensure customer satisfaction

Qualifications

Excellent administration skills and attention to detail
Proficient in Excel & Word are mandatory
Excellent customer service skills and customer focus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi task, accustomed to working with minimal supervision, confident and conscientious
Proficiency in both International and Cross Border import and export procedures
Knowledge of Air/Ocean Imports documentation and procedures
Experience in multiple freight forwarding product offerings
Experience or demonstrated knowledge in Customs Regulations and bonded warehouse procedures/requirements
Experience in cutting MAWB, HAWB, Ground Bills of Lading and Export Declarations

Education

CIFFA 1 & 2 certification are assets
