Description

Reporting to the Director of Retail, the Manager, Retail Channel Partner, will lead the transformation of our retail partnerships and access network. This role is a means for growth and innovation—responsible for shaping future customer access strategies, driving operational excellence, and delivering scalable, market-leading solutions. The ideal candidate is a visionary thinker with strong business acumen, skilled at forging strategic alliances, and experienced in deploying disruptive technologies and programs that redefine retail experiences.

Strategic Growth & Partnership Development

  • Design and execute bold strategies to expand retail and agent partnerships, leveraging emerging technologies and market trends to redefine customer access.
  • Conduct annual competitive market gap analyses to identify high-potential locations and accelerate revenue growth.
  • Pursue innovative out-of-home delivery solutions and convenience-driven access models.
  • Evaluate and optimize existing partnerships and for long-term strategic alignment and market leadership.

Relationship & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with over 2,600 partner locations, ensuring consistent service quality and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead complex partner contract negotiations, including multi-year agreements and performance-based compensation models.
  • Conduct quarterly and bi-annual business reviews, and represent the organization at industry conferences as a thought leader in retail innovation.

Innovation & Program Development

  • Champion innovation by developing and launching disruptive access solutions, fostering a culture of experimentation and agility.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (IT, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Project Management) and external partners to co-create and improve transformative programs.
  • Develop and execute open-network strategies for parcel lockers, seasonal Pop-Ups and market driven initiatives (e.g. Urban Quick Stops).

Network Optimization & Financial Oversight

  • Drive data-driven decision-making using predictive analytics and advanced modeling to optimize network performance and unlock new revenue streams.
  • Oversee financial growth strategies, including agent loyalty programs, commission structures, and revenue tier optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and customer service obligations.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations, or a related field.
  • Advanced management training or certifications in innovation, digital transformation, or strategic leadership considered an asset.

Experience

  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in retail, channel management, or strategic partnerships.
  • Proven track record in leading major transformation initiatives and cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in business case development and implementation of Agile and Lean practices.
  • Strong relationship management skills with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and deliver breakthrough results.
