Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Analytics this position is responsible for oversight of the Purolator Reporting and Analysis team. This team prepares a wide variety of  reports and executes on requests to support key company initiatives. In addition to standard reporting, this team is also responsible for producing ad hoc analysis, providing insights and recommendations.


  • Team management including staffing decision, staff development, compliance with organizational personnel management practices
  • Prioritizing tasks within the reporting team and ensuing team deliverables are achieved
  • Responsible for compiling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems and developing recommendations to improve efficiencies;
  • Report on and monitor key performance indicators and provide support to leaders in achieving operational and financial targets;
  • Provide detailed analysis and recommendations to guide decisions and resolve issues;
  • Collaborate and coordinate data, reporting and initiatives across organizational business units;
  • Identify standard reports and prepare standard operating procedures for production of those reports;
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Management Engineering, Commerce, Analytics or related quantitative discipline is required.
  • 7+ years’ experience having direct staff oversight
  • Hands on Power BI experience is a must building dashboards
  • Expert level skills in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Strong business acumen, including experience working in a customer centric division or role
  • Self-starter who proactively seeks ways to improve processes, data quality and stakeholder knowledge
  • Comfortable working with all levels in the organization to identify and resolve problems and provide alternative solutions
  • Redesign processes and procedures to resolve identified business issues
  • Capable to work in fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
