Description
Reporting to the Director, Finance Excellence, the Manager, Finance Support provides expertise, strategic finance and technology support. The role will primarily support the financial reporting and close, planning and analysis, and procure to pay process areas. The Finance Excellence team is committed to driving transformation through collaboration, where this role will play an integral part in achieving meaningful results for the finance teams.
This including support for all order to cash processes, and drives all innovation and continuous improvement efforts: supports ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting in ad-hoc urgent scenarios; applies design, technology, and analytics to help transform the business, optimize the digital landscape, improve process automation and user experience, and provide timely insights through reporting through scheduled and ad-hoc requests to business functions and organizational performance; partners teams and individuals cross-functionally to deliver specific technology tools and systems ensuring speed and agility necessary in today’s market; all in an effort to advance and maximize the rate of return on all technology investments ensuring technology adoption and performance excellence, ultimately transforming Finance Shared Services and the business.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for collaboratively developing, managing, and recommending priorities in the design, deployment, and sustainment of the strategic future-focused Finance technology and digital enablement roadmap capturing minor/major technology requirements and investments for the short term and long term.
- Collaboration liaison and subject matter expertise to bridge business requirements and technical solutions, recommendations driving optimal execution and process efficiencies
- Supports the design and manages deployment of quality in-house innovative scalable technology solutions that include a blended approach of process, system, tool, and (mobile/agile) user experience optimization, timely business insights, along with integrated training, capability development, and change management activities.
- Actively participate and/or lead in user acceptance testing for major and minor enhancements, program changes and reporting changes for all of Finance Shared Services.
- Provides recommendations to leaders on finance technology/reporting infrastructure and their prioritization based on in-depth understanding of finance processes, standards, risks & compliance protocols.
- Manages and supports the project management and governance of both minor and major technology initiatives, timelines, and resources for the entire lifecycle of legacy and emerging software initiatives.
- Maintains relationships with individuals and leaders across Finance and Integration Solution team partners to ensure awareness, alignment, and deployment of core technology initiatives, change efforts, while supporting resource allocation to ensure successful delivery.
Additional Responsibilities
- Serves as a trusted business partner within and across Finance and the Business driving discussions that matures the Finance technology plan and pipeline of initiatives based on the market/business needs to remain competitive, meet the needs of our customers, and achieves Finance transformational goals.
- Conducts environmental scans of the multitude of tech options available and keeps appraised of both current and emerging solutions to support the prioritization and funding of current/future technology initiatives.
- Proactively identifies, manages, and mitigates both known and unknown implementation and investment risks inherent in the lifecycle of technology enablement initiatives and keeps the Senior Director, Finance Excellence appraised on status and need for support on escalations.
- Builds, manages, provides guidance, and supports the ongoing development of a diverse team of Senior Analysts in the achievement of business and finance goals and objectives.
- Manages the design, rollout, and maturation of KPI performance metrics that tracks reporting on people, processes, technology initiative optimization, and post-implementation performance.
- Acts as a proactive and dynamic change agent champion and trusted advisor who manages, and drives (transformational) change activities with an eye towards continuous improvement and innovation is vital.
- Draws on knowledge and experience with IT Certifications, Information Security, and Change Management disciplines, methodologies, and tools to identify and implement innovative, best in class technology solutions.
- Provides empathetic leadership and high accountability by ensuring team members have sufficient training and capabilities developed, support, resources, talent assessments, and personal development plans
Education
- Equivalent to University Graduation in General Courses – Business Administration or Accounting
- Recognized diploma or Certification related to Business/System Analytics or Testing Analytics
Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience
- Ability to multi-task and analyze data from multiple sources
- Resolve problems with minimal direction
- Initiate process improvement and alternative solutioning recommendations
- Previous experience testing on SAP S/4 HANA and BRIM, specifically Convergent Charging are considered an asset
