Job Description

The Marketing Consultant will be responsible for all activities around Sales Enablement, along with assisting on retention activities. This key marketing support role will focus on planning sales enablement strategies, along with the development and execution of sales requests, take to sales and sales enablement materials. This person has strong experience working with sales and an understanding of the relationship between sales & marketing.  They will be responsible for driving measurable take to sales support materials along with customer facing communications from the beginning to the end of the sales cycle as well as engagement and retention.


Sales Enablement

  • Develop and execute measurable sales enablement materials that aids sales in developing their pipeline for the organization and channel partners.
  • The marketing consultant supports sales enablement activities –including QBR revamp vertical deck support, product launch decks, where applicable and POV deck creation.
  • Collaborate with teams for input on sales enablement pieces – namely marcom, marketing ops, retention, sales, etc.
  • Track and share performance of sales collaterals, decks, and capture feedback to continue to improve the process and content.
  • Devise and execute communication strategy to support launch of new materials internally and externally.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders to gain support and alignment.
  • Strategize, manage, and launch revenue generating campaigns as needed.
  • Track and report on performance of campaigns to key stakeholders.
  • Own and manage assigned budget line for both sales enablement and retention activities.
  • Work with internal and external resources to help create materials and assets necessary to drive interest and engagement
  • Leverage Marketing Cloud knowledge,, Seismic and other tools as needed to execute and track the success of programs.



  • Contain retention by creating highly targeted campaigns (online and offline)
  • Become well versed in customer data to identify behaviours that indicate possible lifecycle changes (ex: churn, growth, loyalty etc.)
  • Serve as primary point for managing customer communication and engagement to establish coordination for message and cadence
  • Develop KPI’s and reporting to understand impact of campaigns
  • Work on cross functional teams to educate customers on new products, product updates and releases via customer newsletter and other communication channels
  • Develop strategy briefs for both internal and external partners to capture the purpose, audience, message and feel of new creative and content accurately and succinctly for various programs
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external partners


Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Highly organized, empathetic, self-directed, and passionate about serving and understanding customer pain points and needs
  • Vertical knowledge of the retail, technology, industrial and healthcare sectors an asset.
  • Experience managing cross functional projects
  • A team player with a bias toward execution and a demonstrated ability to work cross functionally across all levels with and outside the organization
  • 4-6 Years of B2B Marketing Experience with experience working in a sales enablement role
  • Experience in a Marketing Retention role
  • BA/ BS degree or equal experience
  • Basic familiarity with marketing tools and channels you will use to create and execute sales enablement pieces and retention campaigns
  • Proficient with PowerPoint and familiar with Seismic, Salesforce and Marketing Cloud considered an asset
