The role:

Reporting to the Director HR, Corporate Services, the Organizational Development Consultant is a critical role in driving our People First value. If you enjoy championing and leading talent management programs that drive business results, apply for this role!

The OD Consultant is a key member of the Human Resources Corporate Services team, managing the deployment and adoption of OD programs at Corporate and across Canada. The successful candidate will partner with the Organizational Development, Corporate Human Resources and Regional Human Resources teams to successfully deploy OD programs in the time frames required to meet business priorities.  This role will influence partners across the business to implement OD programs and initiatives, will assess program effectiveness and will drive continuous improvement.

The OD Deployment Consultant will:


  • Develop and lead OD deployment strategy: Collaborate with OD and HR to jointly develop deployment strategy, including annual schedules that align with business priorities, clarity on roles and responsibilities, and an effectiveness assessment strategy.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Collect feedback from field and corporate HR, and analyze success criteria to assess program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide OD advisory support to HR: Act as primary liaison between HR and OD team, provide ongoing support to HR as they lead deployment activities, coach and provide counsel to HR on OD tools, techniques and strategies. Facilitate meetings and discussions as well as workshops and webinars.
  • Lead the change management strategy: Identify all stakeholders, understand and integrate their needs and viewpoints into deployment plans. Build awareness and desire to support adoption.


To be successful, you should have:

  • Minimum 5 years progressive experience with increasing responsibility in an Organizational Development Consultant role, or within an HR role with responsibility for deploying OD Programs
  • Strong communications and presentation skills
  • Experience developing and managing change management and project management plans
  • Ability to coach and influence stakeholders at multiple levels
  • Strong analytical, and critical thinking are necessary
  • Microsoft suite – PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Outlook, Word
  • University Degree/ Post-secondary qualifications in Human Resources
  • Prior experience working with SuccessFactors would be an asset
