Job Description

Description

This role is focussed on measuring efficiency, effectiveness, outcomes and return on investment (ROI) for training and learning at Purolator. Reporting to the Manager, L&D Organizational Excellence, the L&D Analyst will help us carry out our mission to create impactful learning experiences by measuring the results of our learning efforts. This will enable us to continuously improve and make data-driven decisions – contributing to our goal of providing world-class learning experiences for Purolator employees. You will use data and analytics to tell L&D’s story and contribute to the learning and analytics strategy that supports the overall business strategy. Using facts and evidence you will show impact, inform decisions, answer questions and reveal insights through reporting. The L&D Analyst will also conduct proactive research on emerging trends to foster and influence best in class training solutions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain and deliver advanced L&D data reports and analytics to support continuous improvement, strategic planning, and decision-making processes
  • Organizes and presents learning and operational metrics in a way that reinforces the impact and value of L&D programs with various stakeholders to support ROI
  • Produces KPI (Key Performance Indicators) metrics and reporting on program participation, compliance, and impact on Health & Safety (H&S)
  • Deliver analytics at scale: Dashboards, Reporting, Metrics/KPIs, Predictive Models and support testing and validation
  • Establish automated data collection mechanisms for KPIs
  • Critical skills assessments for frontline operations
  • Work with our Instructional Design and HR Systems teams to implement design standards for measuring and reporting on the impact of learning experiences
  • Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement
  • Continually research, identify, and apply industry best practices for the testing, measurement, and evaluation of learning
  • Assist with annual forecast and scheduling of training
  • Adhoc reporting as required
  • Help define a data governance structure, processes and standards related to reporting and measurement
  • Support major L&D project initiatives including but not limited to New Hire Onboarding, Training Within Industry (TWI), Forecasting, L&D Campaigns and Governance
  • Build and implement a mechanism or process standard to store L&D information
  • Support our Regional L&D Field teams

 

Ideal requirements

  • High proficiency in Excel
  • Learning Management System (LMS) administration or Learning Experience Platform administration experience
  • Adult education diploma, certificate, or degree an asset
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts into understandable terms
  • Strong analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities
  • Some experience and or understanding of Operations logistics, transportation and overall health and safety knowledge
  • Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles an asset
  • Experience in project management and ability to influence change
  • The ability to work in Terminal, Retail centres, and at Head Office with required travel of 25% to these locations within Canada
