Job Description

The Business Planning and Improvement Manager, Retail will be responsible for the following:


  • Strategically align Retail channel access type to market and customer demands, i.e. Kiosk placement, Parcel Lockers, Corporate stores, etc.
  • Assist with overseeing on-going proximity analysis and market gap assessment aligned to large customer demands
  • Recommend placement of self-serve technology based on analysis for greatest return and build volume and mix hydraulics with an ability to optimize volume growth with company and agent locations
  • Territory alignment to Retail field operations - drive maximum adoption and volumes
  • Closely aligned with finance to overlook and manage general cost per piece
  • Act as Retail Functional Lean Champion and assist with building Green Belt & Black Belt candidate pools along with establishing funnel of opportunities for Lean projects
  • Utilize the dashboards created by the analytics team to further develop a data modeling technique to determine the best location for channel type; population density, demographics, competitive overlay analysis
  • Prime with finance to build volume & mix dynamics for retail including internal vs. partner volume & costs, i.e. knowing which volume to drive to which access
  • Anticipates changing customer needs and seeks to create value for the customer. Working closely with key Executive sales Reps and Vertical General Managers



  • Structuring of process and controls
  • Qlikview Dashboards; Operations/CI and Retail
  • SAP knowledge, BI reporting
  • University degree and/or 7-10 years business experience
  • Experience managing large scale and complex projects often involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Comfort with technology and ability to translate business requirements into technological assets
  • Strong written and spoken communications
  • Strong Analytics, Critical thinking, Results Driven and self-starter
  • Strong internal knowledge of Operations preferred
