Reporting to the Manager Process Engineering – First & Last Mile the Process the Engineering Specialist I role is responsible for administrative duties related to systems supporting sort automation.

Create and update spatial layers using ArcGIS online
Develop business processes for support and administration activities
Govern updates to production database
Support operations with sort automation related activities

Responsibilities

Creating maps, reports, and other visual representations of spatial data using GIS software
Maintaining and administering GIS software, databases, and other technical platforms
Providing technical support to users of GIS systems and software
Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of spatial data within the GIS database
May be involved in the planning, implementation, and management of GIS projects
Working with other professionals and teams to integrate geospatial data into workflows and projects
Responding to user requests for information and mapping solutions
Troubleshooting GIS software and hardware issues
Developing and implementing GIS standards and procedures

Job Experience

Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
Experience in transportation industry

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics

Skill

Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or others.
Strong understanding of spatial data management principles and techniques.
Experience with database management systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with programming languages like Python or SQL
