Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for mapping operational and support functions business processes utilizing IBM Blueworks Live business process modeller through SIPOC methodology.
• Draw polygons using GIS software (ArcGIS) and integrate road network data.
• Work directly with operations and support staff to gather requirements, develop specifications, document new and “as is” processes, procedures, work instructions and job aids.
• Identify new approaches and solutions to business issues identified through analysis of processes
• Subject matter expert for the design, modeling, execution, monitoring and optimization of first and last mile processes.
• Lead cross functional group initiatives related to improving results and developing services with a focus on First and Last mile process and procedures.
• Updating of approved procedures, Work instructions and Job aids into Purolator’s Documentation repository.
• Engage Corporate Communication, deployment and change management in process refresh and transformation activities.
• Involvement in UAT activities related to technology integration for First and Last mile.
• Providing updates on project milestones and collaboration with cross functional groups in ensuring critical milestones are completed on time.
• This role will be doing independent work while doing business process analysis, this role will also be providing recommendations based on his/her analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree; BEng or Business preferred
• Minimum of four years progressive experience in a similar role
• In business process analysis and technical writing experience
• Proficient knowledge and experience in Business Process Mapping and Technical writing
• Experience in BPM methodologies and tools  ( IBM –System Architect)
• Experience in next day and same day courier industry
• Experience with GIS (Geographic Information Systems)
• Strong experience analyzing business processes within a service-based industry
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to communicate with  all levels of the business; must possess strong verbal and written skills
• Facilitation of brainstorming and workout sessions
• Ability to adapt and stretch capabilities and skills to meet business needs
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, think analytically
• Knowledge of portal technologies such as Microsoft SharePoint
• Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule (24 hour operation/office or warehouse), Willingness to travel as necessary
