Job Description

Product Manager

Reporting to the Manager, Digital Product the individual will be responsible for managing digital solutions which includes leading new feature initiatives, optimizing current features and driving improved customer experience.

New Digital Product Development

  • Lead cross-functional team to build new digital solutions.
  • Create detailed user stories/requirements that helps meet customer needs and create a solution making Purolator best in class
  • Build the bridge between our customers and development team by communicating product requirements for new product development,
  • Research and review competing solutions and market trends to ensure digital products are competitive
  • Collaborate with Engineering team on innovative solutions and clarify the desired outcome to help increase the overall customer experience
  • Use design thinking and iterative development processes for developing and testing hypotheses
  • Lead enhancements to continuously optimize shipping channel. Work closely with business stakeholders, design agencies and IT.
  • Manage, and maintain product backlog focusing on business value and priority while delivering incremental value
  • Develop and monitor product KPIs, metrics and feedback of the digital shipping channels


Digital Product Management and Optimization

  • Become the Subject Matter Expert and owner for current digital solutions
  • Own the customer experience & ensure that customers can easily achieve their desired outcomes
  • Develop and implement processes for continuously collecting customer feedback, measuring performance and identifying areas of opportunity for each channel


Take to Market

  • Lead the Take to Market/Take to company initiative to drive awareness and adoption of Purolator’s new tracking and reporting tool
  • Provide direction on customer messaging for the new tool
  • Measure and assess the performance of campaigns and provide recommendations
  • Support customer care and sales team with product information and positioning



  • 5+ years of digital product management experience is highly desirable, preferably in an agile environment
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics (courier, freight, brokerage, import, export etc) is highly desirable
  • 5+ years of experience in a product management, preferably in an agile environment
  • Strong background in Online User Experience and e-commerce
  • Experience with understanding the core problem, identity opportunities and successfully building business case for proposed solutions
  • Creative thinker with experience in different customer research methodologies and the ability to provide solutions that meet customer needs
  • Customer champion with design and user experience knowledge to continue a customer first culture in the organization
  • Proven ability to establish relationships across all levels within organizations
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, cross-functional teams and across business lines.
  • Able to excel in a dynamic environment, lead and manage several projects simultaneously, strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to dive into the technical details and are able to understand technical concepts
  • Thorough knowledge of and experience with a broad range of technologies, including common internet protocols, web analytics, API’s, and other foundational web technologies that underpin modern digital applications.
  • University degree in Business (MBA), Computer Science or Engineering preferred
