Description
The EPMO Project Manager leads teams and manages stakeholders with a broad perspective, anticipating challenges and facilitating effective decision-making through strong intuition and project expertise. This role excels in communication, resource allocation, and organizational skills—empowering teams, navigating complex environments, and ensuring project milestones are met through collaboration and negotiation. With proven abilities in risk management, time management, and cost control, the Project Manager delivers successful outcomes while fostering confidence and trust across all levels of the organization.
The ideal candidate is a project manager who has previous experience leading technology initiatives to support end to end supply chain operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory, distribution, and supplier integration. This role partners closely with IT, procurement, operations and finance teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and efficient technology solutions that improve visibility, efficiency, and cost control across the supply chain.

- Barcode scanning
- Yard management
- Other automation systems
- Lead project teams and manage stakeholders through the different project phases:
- 1) Initiation (establish goals, requirements collection, deliverables and milestones; establish project governance)
- 2) Execution (establish project plan with timelines, milestones & dependencies; support vendor selection; create and manage project plan, budget, forecast, resource plan, and dependencies)
- 3) Closing (release resources; create lessons learned repository; activities to close project financials).
- Demonstrated experience delivering medium to large-scale IT projects in a complex, enterprise environment. Familiarity with teams that are responsible for:
- UX
- Architecture
- Application development
- QA
- Business Intelligence
- Cybersecurity
- Ability to support data migration strategy, oversee system testing (system, integration, regression, UAT), cutover planning, and go live activities with minimal disruption to operations
- Establish core team committee(s), working forums, executive reporting, and relevant artifacts to support project governance, progress reporting, risk and issues tracking and resolution strategies, and delivery of outputs, throughout the project.
- Develop long-term project plans, establish milestones and dependencies, manage timelines and completion dates, and understand how different project components interact.
- Execute budget management and cost forecasting, understanding the financial implications of resource changes and third-party involvement, and ensure efficient vendor management.
- Communicate clearly and confidently, empowering the team, providing direction, and adapting communication style depending on audience, to ensure engagement of all stakeholders.
- Efficiently manage resources, assess team performance, coach and motivate team members, mediate conflicts, and delegate tasks to achieve project goals.
- Document and prioritize tasks, activities, requirements, issues and dependencies, across complex projects, breaking down roadblocks, issues & risks into manageable stages. Identify and mitigate risks impacting operational continuity, peak periods, and service-level commitments
- Collaborate with stakeholders, internal teams, and suppliers to negotiate and align on key milestones, requirements, scope, risks & issues, and deliverables, ensuring team alignment and successful project outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with team members and stakeholders, demonstrating self-confidence and inspiring trust in project success
- Continuously evaluate and adjust plans and strategies to meet project objectives, leveraging intuition and a strong understanding of project dynamics.
- Hands-on with requirements management, risk/issue management, budget tracking, and vendor management.
- Experience supporting procurement processes, including SOW development with the business, RFI, RFP, ranking/ratings, supporting vendor reviews, etc.
Experience
- University degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- 3-7 years of experience in Project Management.
- Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent) required.
- Industry specific experience in Supply Chain and/or Logistics is required.
- Experience managing IT/technology projects required.
- Demonstrated experience delivering effective project management across a variety of project types and medium complexity.
- Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and facilitate decision-making within a broader organizational context.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to empower teams, provide direction, and adapt style to engage stakeholders.
- Experience in resource allocation, team performance assessment, coaching, and conflict mediation.
- Skilled in documenting, prioritizing, multitasking, and breaking down complex problems into manageable stages.
- Comfortable collaborating and negotiating with stakeholders, clients, and suppliers to achieve alignment on key milestones and deliverables.
- Capable of planning and managing project risks, developing mitigation strategies, and adjusting plans based on situational context.
- Proficient in developing long-term project plans, managing timelines, and understanding project interdependencies.
- Solid budget management and cost forecasting skills, including understanding financial implications of resource changes and overseeing invoice management.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, ServiceNow PPM, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Self-starter with sound judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships, inspire confidence, and network effectively across the organization.
- Knowledge of ITIL and operational support models
Language Requirement: Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders. This requirement is justified by the nature of the responsibilities and operational needs.
