Job Description

Senior Consultant, B2C e-Commerce

 

Responsibilities:

  • Structure business problems to effectively identify gaps in current state (i.e. products, processes, customer expectations, reporting, etc.).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute on continuous improvement opportunities to achieve key commercial, financial and operational outcomes.
  • Develop rigorous, fact based, quantitative analysis to ‘look back’ on financial and operational outcomes and evaluate ‘looking ahead’ opportunities, ensuring strategic alignment and data accuracy to achieve alignment for insights and recommendations.
  • Own the performance measurement process for our B2C eCommerce business (e.g. scorecard / KPI design, data inputs from functional / regional teams, reporting cadence and executive communication).
  • Communicate deliverables to key stakeholders and business partners in a clear, concise and impactful way (i.e. effective storytelling through presentations, compelling data visualizations).
  • Liaise with stakeholders in all business areas to identify and define reporting and analytic needs in conjunction with our B2C eCommerce goals and deliverables (and in alignment with Purolator’s overall strategic direction).
  • Play a key role in the planning, execution, and monitoring the end-to-end delivery of strategic programs across our B2C eCommerce business.
  • Lead and facilitate meetings and working sessions with cross-functional stakeholders in order to achieve desired program outcomes, applying exceptional leadership skills to identify and remove obstacles / resolve conflicts.
  • Monitor the rapid evolution of the North American B2C eCommerce delivery space, competitive landscape, new technology developments and regulatory environment.

 

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics or related field
  • 5+ years prior experience working in a similar role, preferably in the Transportation & Logistics industry
  • Prior experience working at / with eCommerce retailers is an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail as well as an urgent desire to probe, question, validate and challenge to ensure accurate and relevant insights are captured
  • Ability to frame financial and analytical outcomes into actionable strategic and operational improvement opportunities
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Ability to effectively communicate financial insights and complex ideas verbally and in writing to a cross-functional audience
  • Resourceful team-player, collaborates well within/beyond core team, and able to work effectively independently
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and can bring a structured thinking approach to addressing business challenges and opportunities
  • Horizontal thinker (i.e. consider full scope of implications vs. only financial elements)
  • Expert level skills in Microsoft Office applications
  • Hands on Power BI experience and fluency with various data querying languages; knowledge of SAP is an asset
