Job Description

This role is responsible for obtaining net new business for Purolator that is largely self-generated focusing on the Industrial Vertical segment.

 

Job Description

  • Aggressive campaigning to gain new clients in your territory
  • Working from a list of named prospective industrial customers as well as self-generated new target accounts within this vertical assignment
  • Utilize SalesForce.com to manage and develop growth strategies for prospective customers
  • Utilize vertical knowledge and economic knowledge to uncover supply chain opportunities
  • Develop initiatives to drive strategic new business growth within a pre-set group of potential customers
  • Develop strong internal networks
     

Qualifications / Competencies:

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial or commercial outside sales experience required
  • University degree or equivalent education
  • Highly driven hunter with a proven track record of attracting clients in traditional and non-traditional methods
  • Experience selling to or within the Industrial products sector at a national level 
  • Demonstrated ability to self-generate new business opportunities
  • Strong value-based sales approach
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Transportation, courier, supply chain or other experience considered an asset
  • Willingness to travel
  • Strong negotiation skills; high level of leadership influence
  • Proficiency in Salesforce
