Job Description

Sales Manager – Industrial Vertical

Ensure the growth, retention and yield of accounts in accordance with the corporate strategies through process management, financial management and people management of all Industrial Sales Executives and/or Account Executives within the Industrial Vertical.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Evaluate employee performance against established objectives within the Industrial marketspace
  2. Provide direction, leadership, and coaching to team
  3. Monitor performance, engagement and enablement within teams
  4. Execute key activities in the employee lifecycle to direct reports (Including employee recruitment, promotion and termination activities etc.)
  5. Provide employees with Sales tools and training needed within their role
  6. Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards
  7. Review the KPI’s and performance of the region employees in accordance with the forecast, in terms of activity based management and lead measurements
  8. Identify business challenges and performance metric shortfall ensure appropriate action plans are introduced, monitored and implemented
  9. Offer sales coaching and account management coaching to employees with territories and verticals
  10. Create vertical sales strategic plans in line with corporate objectives and marketplace objectives
  11. Collaborate with team to forecast marketplace events and trends with 1 to 2 year outlook
  12. Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales goals within the Industrial vertical
  13. Allocate accounts to sales representatives
  14. Set sales targets for individual reps and your team as a whole
  15. Manage relationship with key accounts within the region
  16. Manage any issues or discrepancies with client accounts that have been escalated.
  17. Lead opportunities for improvements within the team, utilizing lean principles and methodology
  18. Support team in building Industrial vertical knowledge and fluency
  19. Demonstrate industry knowledge in product development to enable future industrial growth

  

Education:

 

  1. Completed Post-Secondary Education

  

Experience:

 

  1. Minimum 6 years selling B2B and B2C via a solutions selling methodology
  2. Minimum of 6 years’ experience selling to Directors, VPs and C-level executives
  3. Experience managing a large portfolio in fortune 500, national and global accounts
  1. Minimum 2 years supervisory or management experience with accountability for driving sales through people
  2. Proven capability to self-manage, manage a team and achieve / exceed results
  3. Strong leader with business acumen, negotiation skills and ability to influence

 

 

Ideal Requirements:

 

  1. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple deliverables
  2. Demonstrated use of sales methodology such as ART (Account Research Template) and Solution selling
  3. Ability to successful coach sales professionals  to sell full suite of products at a premium and assist with value based solution selling
  4. Willingness to travel
  5. Knowledge of industry
  6. Excellent time management, analytical, and organizational skills
  7. Experience selling to Directors, VPs and C-level executives within large base and medium base accounts
  8. Experience in leadership
