Job Description

Support the development, configuration, and implementation of “Procurement Modernization” using technology and automation:

  • Phase 1 – Strategic Sourcing, Contract Management, and Supplier Performance (SAP-Ariba)
  • Phase 2 – Procure To Pay (SAP-Ariba)
  • Build a comprehensive array of data analytics to provide:
    • Procurement activity and performance dashboarding; Actual vs. Targets
    • Build custom reports in SAP and Ariba
    • Internal compliance to Purolator supply programs, and procurement policies
  • Build and manage a process for measuring and reporting:
    • Internal and external customer satisfaction
    • Effective vendor management and measure performance
    • Process efficiency and effectiveness
  • Document new processes, and develop reporting to support initiatives
  • Build and manage a process for procurement governance oversight in areas such:
    • Service Level Agreements
    • Policies and Procedures
    • Program and Purchasing/Contract Compliance
  • Manage the distribution and creation of standard and ad-hoc analyses to help track and communicate all aspects of performance and assist in critical business decision support
  • Track and understand the key macro trends that impact our businesses on a day to day basis
  • Provide analytics, sizing and input into business cases for new strategic initiatives
  • Provide weekly performance analysis and insights at both the line of business and market level for North America
  • Look at market-level performance data to identify trends and uncover underlying issues
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to automate reports as well as develop the business requirements needed for alerts and automation
  • Develop and present materials for senior leadership around business performance and revenue generating opportunities
  • Gather complex data, analyze trends, identify opportunities and quantify the potential value of these opportunities
  • Function independently with minimal supervision and proactively deliver key analytical projects
  • Work closely with teams throughout the company, including Technology, Product, Business Operations, Finance, Supply, and Marketing to coordinate and execute against the business plan
  • Other adhoc projects and analyses as needed
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and developing solutions using Six Sigma methodology.
  • Apply an improvement-focused mindset to determine and find opportunities for streamlining business and operational processes
  • Support the team to leverage technical skills to assess, prioritize, optimize, and determine the impacts and benefits of numerous potential ideas and implementations and conduct third party research and analysis
  • Develop and foster relationships with the business, including Operations, IT, HR, Marketing, Sales and Finance to ensure procurement is adding value to the overall business.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and developing solutions using Six Sigma methodology.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to work independently and manage several simultaneous projects
  • Expert proficiency in Excel with ability and desire to attack complex data sets with minimal training
  • Proficiency and systems experience with SAP Ariba
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and presentation - to effectively deliver strategy to various individuals across the organization and senior leadership
  • Ability to take large data sets and summarize down to actionable levels, turning analysis into solutions
  • Results-driven with the willingness to dive deep into details while still grasping the big picture
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive projects forward
  • Structured in your problem-solving approach with a high level understanding of technology
  • Professional, "get it done" attitude and “help the team win” work ethic with an ability to take projects and run with them
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt well to multi-location organization
  • Self-directed, comfort with ambiguity, must have a problem solving mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • A team player that will quickly earn and maintain the personal and professional respect of internal and external stakeholders
