Job Description

 

  • Leads the sales development and implementation of the North America products of Logistics business within Canada (this includes Freight, Southbound, Rest of World).
  • Develops and executes strategies and tactics to meet the functional groups' Logistics revenue goals within North America.
  • Targets High volume profitable accounts while tailoring solutions to develop and improve that company's supply chain in North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure attainment of individual assigned revenue and profit goals by working closely with other PCL/CPC companies
  • Conduct joint calls with sales team to determine opportunities within existing and new accounts and sell “full” solutions.
  • Work directly with prospects / targets and converting opportunities to profitable business; coordinating sales activities/lead programs with CDN/US counterparts.
  • Utilize process mapping to identify gaps and opportunities for supply chain improvements and develop customer proposals/presentations tailored to those needs
  • Develop and maintain account intelligence system that records, stores and reports all sales activities, account information, industry information, competitive information and any other information deemed necessary by management.
  • Develop and implement a sales work plan and schedule that ensures minimum attainment of all required sales activities to include sales calls, service calls, proposals, presentations, customer tours as well as any other sales activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments regarding customer issues, pricing, and solutions development.
  • Support and implement all Purolator Logistics sales directives and provides feedback through appropriate channels
  • Arrange and manage transportation for shipments destined to, from and within Canada and the USA.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum five (5) years cross border sales experience with global forwarders with courier, logistics, transportation, warehousing, sales, and distribution experience
  • Extensive experience in domestic and International forwarding services and LTL Extensive experience in Supply Chain Logistics services for North America
  • Minimum 5 years working experience with related operations, cross-functional, project management

Skills

  • Management, relationship building, and leadership Strong record of client and customer service Must be a self-motivated leader
  • Ability to organize and prioritize large amounts of information
  • Proficiency in MS Office products including MS Project & Visio flow charting tools, TMS/WMS software Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong Business Acumen
  • Strong presentation, human relations, and negotiation skills
