Job Description

Contract Management 


  • Management of all contract renewals held by the Contract Management Team 

  • Monitor and action extensions, rate changes to existing contracts, migrations, and new business 

  • Validation of proposals and rating projects 

  • Working closely with other departments to manage issues and recommend resolutions (e.g. Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Finance). 

  • Account implementation and maintenance - manage all account affiliations and changes for each contract 

  • Presenting recommendations and operating within the delegation of authority and approval guideline framework. 

  • Contributing towards the continuous improvement of processes to help drive efficiencies. 

  • Customer calls for new accounts and analysis of set-up and other responsibilities as required. 

  • Performing ad hoc analyses and operationalizing corporate pricing initiatives 


In addition, the Contract Management Specialist will be responsible for the effective adjudication of the Credit Risk Management Policy for Purolator Inc. These tasks include: 
•    Validate and review financial documentation gathered by the Sales team to assess creditworthiness and past payment history before any onboarding.  
•    Completion and assessment of final Customer Segmentation and Impact Profile classification table for inclusion in Revenue Management Tool. 
•    Assess and approve any security requirements for Rest of the World (ROW) customers based on the information collected by the onboarding team for new/existing customers. 
•    Escalate was required to Senior Manager, Contract Assurance and/or VP Finance, Corporate Services for customers who have been assessed as an exception for security requirements. 
•    Responsible for ensuring adherence from relevant Company team(s) to the Policy. 



  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics or similar area of focus a definite benefit, but not mandatory  

  • Knowledge of automation and data distribution, including but not limited to EDI, shipping and/or transportation management systems and similar 

  • Expert level in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Office 

  • Experience with Salesforce and SAP PR3 

  • Proven ability to thrive in a diverse, highly collaborative and fast-paced team environment 

  • Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills 

  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written 

  • Motivated and disciplined in managing competing priorities and deadlines 

  • Exemplifies and consistently demonstrates our core competencies of communication, innovation, change management, relationship building and leadership 

  • Bilingualism (English/French) would be an asset 

  • A natural problem solver and strategic thinker who is comfortable in a fast-paced high-growth environment.
