Job Description

The Marketing Specialist plays a vital role on the Product Marketing team, responsible for supporting the Product Managers in the day to day management of the product portfolio and the development of new product offerings and enhancements to drive business benefits and optimize the customer experience.  You will be regarded as a subject matter expert, taking lead on some initiatives while driving product awareness throughout the organization and acting as a key contributor on cross-functional projects.

 

In this role, you will leverage your ability to build relationships with colleagues across the cross-functional departments to plan for and support product development, launches, and marketing plans. 

 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day product management from product planning to sales enablement of the product portfolio to facilitate awareness of the product attributes
  • Execution of product marketing campaigns, programs, and research initiatives
  • Work with cross-functional teams to manage and execute the product plan and monitor the progress to ensure product activities are delivered as planned
  • Support product planning and development of new offerings and enhancements to drive business benefits
  • Work as an escalation point for product related issues which may arise from various cross-functional teams, to provide market and competitive information to support the resolution and decision-making process
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis, and analyze markets trends, to support market positioning and to identify potential products gaps
  • Provide market and product performance input into the marketing plan
  • Support the development of seed funding proposal and business cases for any recommended changes, enhancements, or solutions
  • Work with vendors to drive product marketing projects to completion
  • Advocate for a positive customer experience to coordinate the required cross-functional teams to execute on the product marketing deliverables

 

 Qualifications

•       Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Business with a Marketing major preferred

•       3-5 years overall experience in a Product Management or Marketing Capacity demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility, with preference given to individuals with prior experience in product marketing.

•       Demonstrated project management experience to lead and manage several projects simultaneously and within deadline

•       Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross functional teams both internally and externally

•       Excellent time management, interpersonal, communications, analytical, and problem solving

•       Experience in the transportation industry is a definite asset

•       Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

•       Creative-thinker with the ability to provide solutions that meet the customer needs

•       Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team

•       Strong business acumen and results-oriented focus are key attributes for this role
