Description
Purolator is seeking a Sponsorship Consultant for a 18-month maternity leave contract to oversee the day‑to‑day management of our national sponsorship portfolio — with a significant focus on the Purolator Tackle Hunger® program. This is a highly meaningful role that blends partnership management, community impact, and purpose‑driven work that directly supports Canadians experiencing food insecurity.
The ideal candidate is not only skilled in sponsorship and partnership management but also deeply motivated by community causes, volunteerism, and helping underserved communities.
You will manage key accounts, oversee partnership planning and execution, track deliverables, monitor budgets, and ensure our programs drive measurable value for both Purolator and the communities we serve.
Responsibilities
Partnership & Account Management
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for key partners within Purolator’s partnership portfolio, including CFL and Live Nation, with a focus on delivering against Purolator Tackle Hunger (PTH) objectives.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative, trust-based relationships with partners, food banks, community groups, volunteers, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead the execution of partnership-led PTH initiatives in collaboration with external partners and community organizations, ensuring programs are delivered with impact and integrity.
- Coordinate PTH-related activities such as volunteerism opportunities, food and funds donation events, and community engagement activations tied to partnership platforms.
- Ensure all partnership deliverables, obligations, timelines, and brand standards are met, with a strong connection to PTH program goals.
- Lead regular partner check-ins and internal cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment on partnership strategies, activation plans, and executional details.
- Support storytelling, proof of impact, and reporting by capturing meaningful outcomes and human-interest stories that demonstrate the community impact of partnerships and PTH initiatives.
Budget & Financial Management
- Manage partnership and program budgets, including forecasting, tracking, and reconciliation.
- Oversee invoice processing and maintain financial documentation.
- Ensure all activities are aligned with approved budgets and corporate policies.
Measurement, Reporting & Insights
- Track KPIs, collect proof of performance, and deliver regular reporting on partnership and Tackle Hunger outcomes.
- Create clear, narrative-driven wrap reports with insights and recommendations.
- Support the capture of impact stories, data, and community-focused results.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Communications, Sales and Operations teams to support partnership execution.
- Coordinate creative assets, content needs, and promotional materials.
- Ensure all materials follow brand guidelines and reflect Purolator’s commitment to community purpose.
Education
- Completion of a university degree in a related field
Experience
Preferred Experience
- Experience in sponsorship, partnerships, CSR, community investment, cause marketing, or non-profit engagement.
- Experience working or volunteering with charities, food banks, community agencies, or impact-driven organizations is a strong asset.
- Strong relationship-building skills and events execution.
- Experience managing budgets, timelines, and multi-stakeholder projects.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years’ experience in sponsorship, cause marketing, CSR, or community programming.
- Strong organization and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator capable of working with partners, vendors, and internal teams at all levels.
- Experience with budget management and financial processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with project management tools is an asset.
- A collaborative, purpose-driven mindset with a desire to deliver meaningful impact.
