Job Description

The Manager Fraud Analytics designs and implements programs to prevent such activities and to recover any incurred losses. Investigate, monitor, detect, analyze fraudulent/illegal activities perpetrated by customers or employees

  • Lead and support a team of fraud analysts across Canada with a shared goal of fraud reduction
  • Supporting the identification and disruption of fraud-related transactions impacting Purolator Courier financial integrity using fraud-related intelligence, analytics, and systems.
  • Developing actionable insights relating to fraud threats.
  • Working within and across functions to enhance fraud detection and risk controls.
  • Proactively develop and execute strategies and action plans to reduce E-commerce claim fraud
  • Document all fraud cases in ThinkLP database to maintain required audit trail;
  • Possess the ability to analyze data and develop appropriate safeguards/recommendations to protect company assets.
  • Prepare accurate and timely written reports to the Senior Management team on findings and recommendations
  • Lead complex fraud investigations and conducts root cause analyses.
  • Build support and manage a team of Fraud Analysts.  Create Key Performance Indicators to measure success.
  • Work on multiple investigations simultaneously, while maintaining an exceptional attention to detail, and prioritize actions based on business needs and urgency.
  • Assist other departments with questions/concerns regarding suspicious activity or fraud, and provide guidance to team members as to appropriate courses of action
  • Attend external fraud investigation training, conferences, and seminars to improve knowledge of fraud trends
  • Build-out rules, enhance and maintain the KOUNT Fraud System Tool, and investigate KOUNT data.
  • Build enhanced fraud business rules (both account and online) to mitigate risk
  • Develop and maintain affiliations/relationships with fraud investigation associations
  • Other duties as assigned



  • College diploma in law & security or similar program
  • Minimum of 4-5 years fraud experience
  • Strong understanding of fraud strategies with respect to operational impacts
  • Able to apply strong analytical skills to make effective decision
  • Interested candidates should have or be willing to acquire the CFE designation, have familiarity with the current and evolving fraud threat environment and be able to support this national program.
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) certifications are an asset
  • Cyber security and open-source investigations an asset
  • Wicklander-Zulawski Non-confrontational interview certification considered an asset
