Job Description

We are currently looking for a Front Line Manager to join our team in Ville St-Laurent.


Contract: Permanent, full time
Shift : Daytime, Wednesday to Sunday

Schedule : Wednesday to Friday 4:30am to 12:30pm, Saturday 5:30am to 1:30pm, Sunday 7:00am to 3:00pm
Workplace: Montreal Hub, located at 5000 Côte-Vertu W, St-Laurent

Job description

  • Manage and supervise the day-to-day activities of the ground transportation and sort operations, including staffing, analysis and planning.
  • Manage a group of unionized employees, including selection and hiring, assignment, performance evaluation, coaching, development and training, attendance, discipline.
  • Ensures the implementation of the Quality system and tools and contributes to the continuous improvement of the service.
  • Manage labour relations including the application of collective agreements including grievance resolution, work schedules, health and safety.
  • Communicates corporate information including policies, practices, regulations, procedures and programs.
  • Complete and submit daily reports on operational activities of the shift.
  • Create a positive work environment that fosters employee engagement within a collaborative team environment.
  • Other related duties.


  • D.E.C. or relevant management experience
  • Fluency in French, functional English
  • Two years experience in the transportation/logistics industry, including knowledge of methods and procedures (an asset)
  • Experience in managing and supervising personnel (unionized an important asset)
  • Demonstrate leadership, credibility and the ability to engage employees
  • Good communication, working and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team and under pressure
  • Positive and proactive spirit, demonstrated organizational, planning and control skills
  • Knowledge of work-related computer softwares

Working Conditions: Office Environment; Warehouse Environment
