Description
The dispatcher will be responsible to maintain collaborative partnership with internal and external stakeholders to streamline stages of operational route management. This role will work in close partnership with management, couriers, sales, call center, dock team, and external customers to effectively manage the daily workflow while providing a positive customer experience. This includes real time resolution i.e.) paging cases and emails for deliveries and pickups, time extension and shipment resolution.
Responsibilities
Work closely with drivers and managers to ensure all service commitments are appointed to the appropriate routes and when required liase with the two parties to meet daily performance objectives
Authorize drivers request to leave territory
Solve problems for the drivers on route including contacting customers and terminal managers to facilitate positive customer experience
Page drivers to gather relevant investigative facts to validate service concerns generated via emails from management, call center and sales for delivery and pickup identified by customers
Monitor systems and ensure drivers are connected to network as well drivers are not showing in alerts
Collaborate with management to re-allocate service commitments such as pickups and load balance drivers’ routes when required
Cross functional communication within dispatch department
Maintain database and generate reports requested by operations management
Additional Responsibilities
Education
Partial Completion of High School
Experience
1 year experience within a dispatch role, Logistics and/or Supply Chain operations
1 year experience using SalesForce & CCD system
