The Role
As a Purolator AZ Linehaul Driver, your primary responsibility will be to transport freight efficiently while building positive relationships with both internal and external customers. By contributing to the overall goals of the organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of logistics and customer satisfaction. Job Details:
Location: Pickering Terminal – 1075 Squires Beach Rd., Pickering, ON L1W 3S3
Working hours: 16hrs/week
Scheduled Shift: Saturday to Sunday, 00:00 - 08:30, 30min unpaid lunch
Employment Contract: Part-Time
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for transporting customer freight in an effective and efficient manner
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Manual usage and handling of pump truck
• Tail gate experience is an asset
• Work various hours (morning, afternoon, or overnight) as required
• Ability to solve problems as they arise while on the road
• Build positive relationships with both our internal and external customers (dispatch, colleagues, managers)
• Comply with all Corporate Policies and Procedures
• Work in a safe manner at all times
• Maintain punctual attendance
• Shunt duties as assigned
Key Requirements:
• Valid Driver's Licence: Class AZ for 3+ years
• Clean Driver's abstract (please upload a current copy with your application)
• Must successfully pass written and road tests
• Must successfully pass Defensive Driving and Courier Methods courses
• Ability to read maps, good sense of geographical direction
• Must be able to handle LTL freight and skids
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 bs.
• Successfully complete a criminal record check and employment verification to qualify
• Obtain a clear Police Clearance Certificate with required
