Shift Schedule

37.5 hours per week:

  • Tuesday to Friday: 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
  • Saturday: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Salary

To be discussed, based on Grade 9 scale

Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to oversee road courier operations and lead a team of unionized employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive and productive work environment while ensuring operational goals are achieved efficiently.

This role requires a motivated leader who can drive performance through effective coaching, recognition, and employee engagement.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage courier operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
  • Supervise and lead a team of unionized employees, fostering a positive and collaborative environment
  • Achieve operational targets outlined in the operational dashboard
  • Monitor and manage employee performance in line with operational standards and KPIs
  • Continuously improve operational standards through performance reviews, coaching, feedback, and recognition
  • Communicate and implement company policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance and alignment
  • Prepare and complete various reports related to operations and employee performance
  • Consistently demonstrate core competencies in communication, innovation, change management, relationship building, and leadership
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Postsecondary education is preferred but not required

Experience

  • 3 years of staff management experience, ideally in a unionized environment with warehouse, courier, or transportation employees
  • Experience in logistics (an asset)
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license or equivalent
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven experience applying and complying with Health and Safety and Labour Canada regulations
  • Strong command of French (spoken and written)
  • Must be adaptable and willing to work flexible hours and days to meet operational needs
