Job Description: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm approximately 

 

 

Human Resources Coordinator, Western Canada

 

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator, Western Canada is responsible for supporting the Talent Acquisition Business Partner (TABP) and Western Canadian HR team in the execution of recruitment and retention support in Western Canada. This role will provide accurate, timely and responsive completion of HR transactions and support as aligned to the talent acquisition (recruitment) model.

 

The HR Coordinator will: 

 

  • Directly support recruitment, selection, and retention activity across Western Canada
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of administrative systems to support talent acquisition requirements
  • Internally post positions, co-ordinate external advertisements
  • Source and attend local job fairs and facilitate Purolator Inc. hiring halls
  • Schedule interviews, sort/screen internal and external applications, conduct interviews
  • Complete required applicant testing, background and reference checks
  • Monitor internal job postings and awarding of positions
  • Prepare offer letters, new hire packages and payroll documentation
  • Present new hire packages to employees, monitor/ensure the completion of new hire paperwork
  • Direct registration, onboarding requirements
  • Assist with special projects/initiatives as determined
  • Audit activities to ensure compliance to set processes and standards
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary HR related Degree/Diploma/Certificate or equivalent HR related experience is considered an asset
  • Strong computer skills
  • Proven attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work both independently and within a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to effectively communicate HR policies, procedures and requirements
  • Customer service orientation
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands. Time management is crucial for success.
  • Open-minded, enthusiastic, energetic, and possess a positive attitude
  • Maintains high level of confidentiality
