Job Description - AM Sort Manager, Monday to Friday, 1:00am - 10:00am, with additional hours as required per operational needs.
Description
We are looking for an experienced individual to manage and lead a team team of unionized AM dock employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive and productive work environment while ensuring that operational goals are met efficiently. This role requires a motivated leader who can drive performance through effective coaching, recognition, and employee engagement.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise dock operation
- Manage a group of unionized employees.
- Create a positive work environment, building employee loyalty and a team atmosphere.
- Responsible for achieving objectives as outlined in the operational scorecard.
- Responsible for managing performance of employees as per operational standards and indices.
- Improve operational standards through reviews of employee performance, coaching, counseling and recognition.
- Responsible for communicating and implementing policy, procedure or programs.
- Responsible for completing a variety of reports and documents.
- Provide vacation and other coverage for Unit Managers/docks
- All other related and assigned duties.
Experience
- Managerial experience an asset
