Description

The  Manager, Operations Finance provides financial and business support to the Williams Pharmalogistics business and Purolator Operations team.

 

The Manager will be a key member of the finance support team, advising Williams Pharmalogistics operations leadership as they expand nationally.  This role will also support the Purolator Operations team with adhoc requests.  

 

The Williams team will look to the Manager Operations Finance to provide a high level of business acumen, coaching and direction. Finance will provide business insights and visibility to areas that will improve financial performance and assist in determining allocation of capital investment

 

The Manager, Operations Finance will also support the Operations team in developing budgets, business cases, financial results and appropriate KPIs to measure the business while at the same time ensuing financial controls are adhered to while driving fiscal responsibility and accountability into the culture of the Operations team. This role will be located in the Montreal Region with time spent at both Purolator and Williams locations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the President and Management team to deliver best in class financial reporting and analysis for Williams Pharmalogistics
  • Implement standard processes to review & analyze financial information and key metrics that drive financial performance; the purpose of this is two-fold; to ensure best in class external financial reporting into the accounting team each month, quarter and year end while also providing internal reporting and analysis that assists Williams management in driving business improvement
  • Partner with the Operations team to instill a culture of continuous improvement. Measure the progress on continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support the operations team with sound financial analysis for Business Cases and business improvement initiatives
  • Drive the creation of Operations Budgets; implement a regular process and cadence to review and analyze performance to budget
  • Simplify and standardize modelling, reporting and processes wherever possible whilst ensuring that the requirements of the business are achieved.
  • Travel mainly within the Region to effectively partner with the Operations team.

Education

  • University degree in finance or business plus an accounting designation (CPA)

Experience

  • 5-10 Years of related experience; experience in transportation would be beneficial
  • Must possess strong analytical, strategic, decision-making and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills in French and English for both written and verbal with solid presentation skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to effectively influence at all levels of the organization
  • Skilled in the use of Excel & PowerPoint
  • Strong Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with SAP
