  • Responsible for recruitment, development, training, project completion, process controls, planning, feedback, expense /scheduling/time management.
  • Full responsibility for the Eastern Canada operations excellence organizational structure, hiring, promotions, terminations, salary increases, and a salary budget of >$1M.
  • Develops and measures the quality standards of performance of the team.
  • Allocates and prioritizes resources in collaboration with operation and sales partners.  
  • Work directly with the customer to provide out-of-the-box operational solutions, leading the onboarding of new customers and providing peak operational plans to ensure customer expectations are satisfied.
  • Integral in ensuring that customers' performance levels are satisfactory and troubleshooting/resolving issues that arise.  Issue resolution is completed directly or leads to the solution created through the engagement of the appropriate Purolator departments.
  • Responsible for all continuous improvement and cost reduction activities, new facility/material handling equipment business cases and implementation, network/capacity growth, project management, R&D pilots/support, and service/quality/process improvement activities in the region. 
  • Responsible for all service, process, quality, and visibility continuous improvement activities in the region. 
  • Responsible for all Services in Eastern Canada by creating solutions for short- and long-term service failures to both External and Internal Customers.
  • Proactively brainstorm and develop new operational processes for short- and long-term continuous improvement.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor of Science - Engineering Degree as a minimum requirement - or equivalent experience
  • Over 15 years of progressive experience
  • Ability to identify and drive implementation of short-term, medium-term, and long-term initiatives to improve quality of service, productivity, cost, and work environment (safety)
  • Proven experience leading a high-performing team
  • Ability to manage, with comfort, up, down, and across the organization
  • Ability to work collaboratively with external customers
  • Project Management experience leading project teams and being able to balance a significant number of projects
  • Experienced in negotiating and influencing the decision-making process (leadership level)
  • Experience in mentoring, training, and developing large teams
  • Facilitation of cross-functional activities with multi-level team members across the entire organization
  • Excellent external customer support and engagement
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
