Job Description
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing mobile security operations for multiple locations within the GTA. The primary goal is to ensure our locations are functioning safely, accurately, and appropriately at all times. Together with each terminal's security leadership teams, you will inspect and support the various functions found at each location. You will play a key role in decision making around strategy, process, and site maintenance initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coach onsite security teams
- Promote and execute security best practices
- Work monthly rotating schedule - rotating shifts day, evening & nights.
- Audit and report on physical security infrastructure (i.e. intrusion detection, access control, cameras and auditing thermal cameras)
- Conduct patrols in warehouse area
- Inspection of fire panel, fence line & other infrastructure at multiple terminals.
- Ensure all LPP equipment & tools are operational and in good repair
- Ensure all work areas are maintained and all safety issues/concerns are resolved in compliance with Purolator standards
- Assist with maintaining Site Specifics Standing Orders for multiple locations
- Communicate policy and procedure changes with security staff
- Identify, resolve and/or escalate security and personnel risks
- Respond and follow up on related Loss Prevention Incident Reports (LPIR)
- Work collaboratively with Operations to access customer needs
- Complete Key Performance Indicator reports to ensure process compliance and quality
- Supervise employee screening and vehicle check point for compliance and quality
- Perform site security duties
Qualifications:
- This position is mobile and requires the candidate to work at multiple locations during the day
- Must possess a valid Security Guard License and Ontario Drivers 'G' Class License with a clean drivers abstract
- Must be available to work on a rotational shift basis, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- 3 - 5 years security related experience
- 2 - 4 years Supervisory/leadership experience (Mobile teams preferred)
- Ability to deescalate potential violence in the workplace incidents
- Proficient with MS Office
- Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act and Powers of Arrest
- Recognized security accreditation (CPO, CSS) is considered an asset
