Job Description

  • Project support, assist in equipment layout and design, standards development and auditing, process optimization and statistical analysis, used for development of trending and forecast information
  • Develop, manage and implement multiple projects providing realistic and accurate timeline, resource requirements and activity plans
  • Facilitation of cross-functional activities with multi-level team members
  • Provide technical training and support to field personnel
  • Key initiatives will also include support for the testing and implementation of new technologies, methodologies, and procedures
  • Employ standard engineering practices to develop and implement optimum operating profiles for dock and courier operations
  • Identify and drive implementation of short-term to medium-term initiatives to improve quality of service, productivity, cost, and work environment (safety)
  • Evaluate and present recommendations for medium-term to long-term capital intensive projects
  • Manage Quality Management System regionally (conduct Audit, compliances, follow up), Risk audit program, MHE, training, H&S audit, study & recommendation

  • Improve existing operational processes by employing engineering practices to support field operation to achieve Purolator’s KPI targets (H&S, Expense, Revenue, Quality)
  • Project Management, assist in equipment layout and design, standard development and auditing, process optimization and statistical analysis, used for development of trending and forecast information



  • 2 years’ experience in an engineering, project management and/or logistics position in a continuous improvement capacity
  • University Engineering Degree (industrial or manufacturing preferred)
  • Strong competency with spreadsheets, word processing, MS Project & database software
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Visio, process mapping, Microsoft Access
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work with autonomy
  • Successfully able to implement change and enhance a team based culture within a unionized environment
  • Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with an ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated strong project and time management skills with the ability to priouritize competing projects
