Job Description

The Talent Acquisition Business Partner will be responsible for recruitment delivery. This role will be responsible for national professional level recruitment, interacting with senior executives and executive search firms to hire and onboard top talent. This role will also manage the end-to-end recruitment for professional roles, setting a best-in-class recruitment experience for candidates and hiring managers.

 

The Talent Acquisition Business Partner will also be responsible for ongoing vendor management, overseeing the day-to-day performance of external recruitment vendors and partners, and will be a vendor relations escalation point for HR. This role will monitor recruitment data and trends internally to identify opportunities and will develop solutions to address talent attraction and selection challenges, both at Corporate and nationally.

 

The Talent Acquisition Business Partner will be Purolator’s internal recruitment Subject Matter Expert for the Recruiter Network (containing HR recruiters from across Canada), ensuring process compliance and adoption of talent acquisition programs and initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • National Recruitment Delivery Excellence – this role will ensure consistent application and compliance to recruitment processes and standards, in addition to adoption of talent acquisition programs and initiatives. This role will oversee recruitment delivery on a national scale. Ongoing review and assessment of recruitment data and analytics will be critical to identifying trends and opportunities for improvement, as well as to celebrate successful strategies.

 

  • Manage full cycle sourcing initiatives using multi-channel sourcing strategies Utilizing various channels to identify potential candidates and build a pipeline. Sourcing potential candidates on professional networks and Social Media sites. Connecting with active and passive for current vacancies and to develop a pipeline for future opportunities.

 

  • Strategic recruitment – this role will personally manage the end-to-end recruitment of professional roles, providing best-in-class partnership to the business, and leveraging targeted talent acquisition strategies to recruit, source and select top talent. The role will support directors and executives with these roles and will provide “white glove service.” In addition, this role will be the key liaison with executive search firms for executive openings. 

 

  • Vendor Management – over and above direct sourcing, this role will manage day-to-day vendor relations for all recruitment partners, who manage the some of recruitment for Purolator. This role will ensure that vendors are held accountable for SLAs and KPIs (ex. Time-to-fill, cost/hire, quality of candidates), and will also be an escalation point for Corporate and field HR’s concerns with recruitment vendors. The role will regularly review performance, identify risks and help drive required ac on/ strategies to resolve challenges, and will also develop and implement monthly/quarterly business reviews with vendors.

 

  • Business Partnering – this role will be a key business partner for HR in addressing regional/ local hiring needs and challenges with standard or unique solutions. The role will partner with HR and the Talent Acquisition COE to influence changes in recruitment practices and to improve adoption of talent acquisition programs.

 

Qualifications

  • University education, with a focus in HR Management is preferred or a Certificate in HR
  • 5+ years progressive experience in talent acquisition is required
  • Proven track record as a recruiter, preferably with experience hiring a multitude of different roles across levels and functions in an organization (from frontline to leadership)
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruitment platforms and tools (ex. Job boards, social media, assessment tools, etc.)
  • Experience developing and implementing talent acquisition strategies
  • Successful record of managing external recruitment vendors and partners through day-to-day recruitment, as well as assessing vendor performance
  • The ability to utilize recruitment data and analytics to identify trends and opportunities for efficiencies and improvements to the candidate, recruiting and hiring manager experience.
  • Prior experience partnering with a regional or national HR team to understand recruitment gaps and develop recruitment tools, programs, and campaigns to support a best-in-class, standardized approach to recruitment. Strong problem-solving skills & organizational skills
  • Ability to work cross functionally in a highly collaborative environment with internal stakeholders and vendors
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing circumstances
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple activities
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite of products is required
